Softly sweet and comforting like Grandma, the Sugar Cookie Bread is enriched with butter, eggs, and creamy homemade creme fraiche, creating a silky dough that shapes easily into cutout creations. This holiday treat has a melange of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and almond extract just like the cutout cookies my own Grandma Sprague always made. Once you take a bite, you won't be able to stop at just one.

*Best when served slightly warm on a pretty plate or platter with a dollop of soft butter or whipped cream for breakfast, snack, and dessert.

unbleached bread flour, homemade creme fraiche, butter, sourdough (all purpose flour, purified water, mature starter),pure cane sugar, eggs, whole milk, salt, active dry yeast, vanilla extract, almond extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, egg wash (egg, salt, water), colored sugar for decorating.
