Literature's Inspiration:

Like the Swedish Limpa, this holiday bread is inspired by the novel, A Man Called Ove.

Ove, the "grinch" of the novel is influenced by two very different women...his wife, Sonja, and his new neighbor, Parvaneh. While Sonja is bright, soft, loving, and accepting, Parvaneh is strong, feisty, out-spoken, and keeps Ove on his toes. With the Swedish Holiday Spiced Bread, Novel Breads is giving a nod to both Ove and to Parvaneh with the infusion of cardamom, a spice used in Swedish and Persian cuisine.
