Swedish Holiday Spiced Bread (Inspired by Literature)

Delicately sweet, soft and buttery, seasoned with the warm spice of cardamom, and rolled in toasted sesame seed, the Swedish Spiced Bread is an enticing addition to any holiday celebration.

Dip in an egg wash and brown into delicious French Toast or simply toast and butter and serve with a cup of coffee while you dive into a good book.

Literature's Inspiration:

Like the Swedish Limpa, this holiday bread is inspired by the novel, A Man Called Ove.

Ove, the "grinch" of the novel is influenced by two very different women...his wife, Sonja, and his new neighbor, Parvaneh. While Sonja is bright, soft, loving, and accepting, Parvaneh is strong, feisty, out-spoken, and keeps Ove on his toes. With the Swedish Holiday Spiced Bread, Novel Breads is giving a nod to both Ove and to Parvaneh with the infusion of cardamom, a spice used in Swedish and Persian cuisine.

Are you giving this bread to the book lover(s) in your life? Why not give the loaf with the book from which it was inspired + a single serving of cocoa for a cozy experience.

*If giving as a gift, consider adding the Literary Bread Crumbs Feature.
